This Kay K7020 model, is described on the intact inside label, and in the Kay catalogs, where it appears at least from from 1961 to 1968, when Kay production in the USA ceased, as "Concerto Classic Guitar" - the 1961 Catalog goes on to describe - "A fine sounding, big value instrument in the true classic design and with traditional wide fingerboard and slotted head. The body is of Maple. Natural white top, with dark stained back, sides and neck. Proper glued on classic bridge. Nylon and wound strings. Attractively finished. 36 3/4" x 14"."In American descriptions of the period, "Classic" does not appear to mean "Classical" in terms of what we understand that to mean today in relation to guitar design and application. In reality this is a "Folk" style guitar, very popular during the 1960s Folk Revival.
