Owned by a local Arizona collector, this award-winning, show-quality '32 Highboy Roadster was crafted by Slim's Body Works of Freeland, MI for its talented owner, Doug, with the goal of it being his shop centerpiece and personal car. Thousands have been invested in this meticulous build, reflecting modern technology while staying true to the history of hot rodding.
Features include a Brookville steel body atop a Pete & Jakes custom frame, stretched 2.5 with pinched front rails and raised rear rails for fuel tank nesting. Powered by a Ford 302 V8, mated to a Tremec TKO600 5-speed manual transmission, with a 9 Ford rear with 400:1 limited slip differential. Steering is rack and pinon, and braking is courtesy of Buick front and Ford rear drums, with complimentary stainless steel lines. The odometer reflects just over 1,900 miles since completion of the build.
The interior features black custom hand-stitched whip vinyl seats and door panels with pockets. The Classic Instrument gauges are framed within the dash by turned-metal treatment, staying true to the look of old-school rodding, with Mercedes carpeting. The chrome-framed SoCal windshield is accented with a Time Machine removable top with side curtains, all of which are in excellent condition.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a incredibly beautiful piece of automotive art.
