Our client a reputable and well-established accreditation body based in West London is currently recruiting for a Graduate Public Affairs Advisor
If you are a recent graduate or equivalent with experience of policy, public affairs, external affairs, politics, MPs, government, political, Westminster, Whitehall, think tanks, lobbying etc we would love to hear from you.
Reporting to the External Affairs Director the Graduate role will entail:
Supporting in the implementation of the external affairs strategy for raising the awareness and benefits of accreditation with Government departments and agencies, devolved administrations, and other stakeholders.
Developing and maintaining public policy intelligence gathering mechanisms for the body
Developing messaging, evidence base and communications material
Following up on potential opportunities resulting from government initiatives
Engaging with external stakeholders on specific projects
Representing in external meetings and events
Organising engagement events for stakeholders
The successful candidate for this role will have first-hand experience of working in or with government or a government agency as well as experience of creating and running campaigns and of gathering intelligence and managing engagement projects.
All candidates should have:
A degree or equivalent
Some knowledge of policy making and government processes with a good understanding of political, economic, societal, and technological trends
Good communications and representational skills
Ability to partner with stakeholders.
Good organisational skills
Proactive and flexible approach with an ability to work in a rapidly changing landscape.
