Job Title: Locum Housing Lawyer

Location: London: Working 1 day a fortnight in the office

Salary: Negotiable and up to GBP50 umbrella per hour

Venn Group's specialist legal team have teamed up with a leading London Local Authority in their search for a Skilled Locum Housing Lawyer to bolster their ranks.

The role of Locum Housing Lawyer is offered for the duration of an exciting project which is expected to last for up to 6 months with the potential for a further 6 months, however this position allows you to retain the freedom of being a Locum.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Barrister, Solicitor or Legal Executive (CILEx) with a proven track record of successfully managing Housing cases within the Local Government Sector.

Job Description:

Assume responsibility for overseeing case progress, engaging in case management, and actively participating in advocacy withing the Temporary Accommodation TeamTake a leading role within a project dedicated to delivering legal expertise in a caseload of temporary accommodation casesProvide guidance on cases, initiate possession application, and explore avenues for arrears recovery within the specified projectUndertake comprehensive court work, showcasing adept drafting skills in legal documents, and actively participate in court proceedings for the case issued Top of Form

The role of Locum Housing Lawyer comes with a negotiable hourly rate dependent upon experience and up to GBP50 umbrella rate per hour. Applicants with a background of Housing Law within Local Government are thoroughly encouraged to apply for this role
