GR delivering a hand picked line up of the finest up and coming live bands across London and way beyond for your absolute listening pleasure. This month, we present genre bending experimental instrumentalists Faker Villain (LIVE). FV unleashing a Live sonic wave and brand new soundscape for your souled out / nu jazzed up listening pleasure, free entry, deep in the lounge at The CLF Art Lounge and Roof Garden.

GRASS ROOTS serving as a 1st Thursday monthly platform for promising artists to 'polish their chops and play their own choons'. These fresh and fully inclusive sessions are a must attend for patrons and participants alike.

FAKER VILLAIN (LIVE) - Band on stage around 9pm, performing 2 Live Sets

Faker Villain is a gathering of three genre-bending instrumental experimentalists, coming together as friends, to tell stories through music. Individually, they are Faye Thompson on saxophone and bass clarinet, Kavi Maraj on bass guitar and Dillon Harrison on drums and percussion.

The trio's music emerges from a unique approach to collaboration that is spontaneous, yet thoughtful, allowing them to unleash an untethered, musical energy that binds them together. The result is an exceptionally original performance that utterly captivates the heart, soul and body of listeners. Inspiration is drawn from the past and the present to create something entirely new and mystical, transporting listeners through the fantastical soundscapes of Jazz, Electronica, Hindustani Classical, Ambient, Experimental, Progressive Metal and many other far-flung sounds.

Faker Villain are currently resident artists at landmark London venue The Roundhouse and are set to release their debut album in 2024.

Grass Roots is a monthly live music affair which began life at The Vortex Jazz Club in March 2019 before briefly relocating to Notting Hill Arts Club in August 2021, now a resident monthly event at The CLF Art lounge
