1975 Fender Telecaster.
A lovely playing and sounding Fender Telecaster from 1975. This is a nice manageable weight at 3.4kg (7.5lb) unlike some 70s Fenders. As far as I'm aware, the finish, frets, nut, hardware and electronics are all original and there is no evidence of any repairs having been carried out on this guitar. I'm happy to provide any photos that you may need to verify originality.
You can see from the photos that it is in great condition for its age, but is showing some wear in certain places, most notably a small chip to the finish on the front, wear through the finish on the top bout and a chip in the lacquer in the neck. The face of the headstock shows lacquer crazing which is not apparent elsewhere on the guitar. I understand that this is because nitrocellulose lacquer was used on the headstock face for some time even after the switch to a poly finish on the rest of the instrument due to a reaction between the poly and the decal material. The "treble bleed" capacitor on the volume pot has been disconnected, but is still in situ and just needs a touch of solder to reconnect it if required. The frets are in great condition and from a very crude measurement of fitting a feeler gauge between the 2nd and 3rd fret of the B string whilst holding the string down at the 2nd and 4th frets, they look to be at least .032" tall.
