Regretfully, it’s time to rehome a truly remarkable guitar.


If you’re here, you likely know what you’re looking at. This is a 2014 Fender Custom Shop Anniversary L-Series ‘64 Stratocaster Closet Classic, one of only 50 in existence, loaded with the much sought-after L Series neck plate.


I bought this brand new from Coda Music in 2014 with some inheritance, and I never thought the time would come that I would need to sell it. I was a teenager travelling and gigging a lot, and this guitar came along with me for a few bumpy rides. Significant wear and tear means this is far from a collector's item, but simply one of the finest Stratocasters you are ever likely to play. It still plays, feels, and sounds absolutely phenomenal - masterbuilt examples aside, this is the top of the mountain for fans of classic Strat tone.

My musical taste has changed and I’ve moved away from playing the guitar, meaning this has sat in its case unplayed until a recent service. The guitar has been newly set up with a beautiful low action across a deep cleaned and oiled fretboard. All electronics are working flawlessly and the pickups are absolutely singing. 

Priced to sell with condition taken into account. I’d keep hold of it for the rest of my days but a guitar this good just deserves to be played. I know it’ll bring its next owner untold amounts of joy, as it did through my first years of owning it.
