TSR Legal have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Contentious Private Client Litigator to join a long standing and reputable law firm for their Chippenham office.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Litigator to join the Contentious Private Client team to service a caseload that covers all aspects of contentious private client litigation.

Previous experience of contentious private client litigation is preferred but not essential, but you will need to have a strong litigious background even if that's been in civil or commercial matters. Full training and upskilling within the practice area will be given if required.

The role will give you plenty of opportunities to grow and develop the caseload. You will be encouraged and given the independence to build relationships with other departments, external referrers, and Counsel.

The Team

The Contentious Private Client team currently has their base at the Chippenham office. It is a small but friendly and supportive team, currently comprising of a lawyer and a full–time legal assistant.

The Chippenham office itself is home to a further 20 employees based across the Family, Private Client, Residential Property and Marketing departments.

The team forms part of the wider Private Client department which currently comprises 16 lawyers and 11 legal assistants across six of their offices. They are thrilled that the department has been listed in The Legal 500 guide for 2023!

The department works in a cohesive environment, but individuals have the autonomy to run and develop their caseload and build relationships with clients and others. Many lawyers within the department are STEP members but everyone shares their expertise, knowledge and experience to support one another.

Your Experience & Qualifications

We are looking for an individual who can develop strong relationships and work effectively as part of a team. Ideally you will be 2 years PQE.

You will need to be approachable with an open–minded 'can–do' attitude that encourages innovation, embraces change and displays resilience.
