CNC Lathe Turner

About the Role:

Due to continued growth and expansion plans we're recruiting for a Machinist - Lathe Turner to work alongside our existing teams within this busy engineering & manufacturing company.

Key Tasks:

Centre Lathe Turning:

Safely load and unload the lathes with material to be turned.Setting and operation of manual and CNC lathes. Familiarity with Fanuc control systems required.Turning a wide range of materials, from 100mm (4') ?? to 700mm (27.5') ??, in 1mtr to 4mtr lengths.Accurate and precise measurement using micrometres, verniers, gauges and callipers.Interpret/read engineering drawings and route card instructions correctly.Operator machine maintenance - pre-start checks, metalworking fluid checks, swarf removal, clean down etc.Act responsibly and safely at all times. Any other task as required by your manager.

About you:

The role involves machining bar and components from various materials such as Stainless Steel, Alloy Steels, Titanium and Inconel.
