Are you an experienced Buyer with an engineering or manufacturing background, looking for a fixed term contract? A great opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join an exciting and expanding business based in the Malton area on a 6-month fixed term basis.

As the Buyer you will be responsible for:

Obtaining supplies and services and expediting materialsImplementing contract strategies and managing contract developmentAdministering procurement processes and enrolling suppliers Maintaining good relationships with suppliers and on-site personnelGenerating purchase reports and training new employees on the procurement systemBeing a key part of supporting the project procurement team

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role as a Buyer and come from a background in either engineering, manufacturing or heavy industries. You should have experience in a similar role and must have a high level of IT literacy in particular with Excel and PowerPoint.
