If you want something light and easy to ride, which makes a great commuter and is backed up with excellent ABS then your first choice should be the F700GS. The GS comes with an excellent chassis that can be ridden surprisingly hard through the corners. It’s so easy to ride fast, or slow, and you can merrily throw it around until the pegs start to scrape. The new F700GS engine, which confusingly is actually the same 798cc parallel twin as the F650 and F800, has four more bhp compared to the older F650 model thanks to improvements to the cam timing and fueling, which have also improved the amount of torque available. The parallel twin has some punch to it.

Jim Allan Motorcycles first opened for business in 1975 with a shop in Bathgate. Initially trade was centered on the off-road market with Franchises for Suzuki, Husqvarna and KTM.

The business expanded with a shop in Falkirk opening in 1980 and began to concentrate on the road bike sector. The shop in Falkirk became the main focus for the business and now offers full workshop facilities, has a large parts department and supplies ARAI , NOLAN , LAZER , X-LITE , SHOE and other leading brands of helmets. We also supply Alpinestar , Scott , Gear and other leading brands of clothing and accessories for all makes from most of the leading manufacturers.

Jim Allan Motorcycles holds main Franchises for APRILIA, BETA, MOTOGUZZI, QUADZILLA and SUZUKI. All supplied from both the Falkirk and Bathgate stores.

The Falkirk Store Hours : Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm and Saturday 9am-5pm.

The Bathgate Store Is Closed On A Wednesday.
