Your new companyThis company is looking for an account assistant to join their team initially on a 9/12–month fixed–term contract to cover maternity.Your new roleOn a day–to–day basis, you will be responsible for:1. Obtaining authorisation for payment from department managers in accordance with the appropriate authorisation.2 To pre–list invoices for payment at month–end and reconcile them to the supplier statements.3 Generating month end BACs run and ad hoc monthly payments.4 Posting cash to the purchase ledger and ensuring proper allocations.5 Helping with month–end procedures.6 Monthly bank reconciliations.7 Fixed Asset register.8 Ad hoc tasks and reports as requested.What you'll need to succeedYou will need to have all round accounts experience to hit the ground running as well as be immediately available to start a position. Additionally, you will need to have strong communication skills.What you'll get in returnYou will receive a competitive salary paying up to GBP26k as well as free on–site parking. You will be joining a highly collaborative team where they will also provide some initial training / handover.
